In the modern era, everything has going online. Similarly, thugs have also started cheating online. Online thugs have so far made thousands of common people a victim of fraud. But now the cheats of online thugs have increased so much that even a judge who has given justice to the people by sitting in the temple of justice, accused tried to deceive to learned judge also. The latest case is of the Barnala Court, where a thug tried to cheat under the guise of filling the challan of a vehicle. Police have registered a case against the unidentified thug four days after the incident on charges of attempting to cheat the judge.

Vijay Singh Dadwal, Judicial Magistrate First Class, Barnala Court filed a written complaint to the police stating that on May 26th, 2020, at 11:55 am,One person tried to pay challan online with BH-VAHAN app. The challan was received online for filling the fine of Rs.500. Then they came to know that an unknown person was trying to cheat them online.
Police took action and registered a case and started searching for the accused
SHO Harsimranjeet Singh of City-2 Police Station said that on the basis of the complaint of the judge, a case has been registered against unknown person under Section 420/511 of IPC and Section 66D of IT Act 2000. The search for the accused is on and he will be arrested soon.

Criminal case expert Advocate Kulwant Rai Goyal said that under Section 66D of the IT Act 2000, a convict can face a 3-year sentence and a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh.
