SKM Ghazipur Pay’s homage to Father Stan Swamy; decries injustice merited out to him by legal system.

Members of several organizations at the Ghazipur farmers Morcha paid homage to Father Stan Swamy, hailing him as a dedicated fighter for the rights of tribal people in Jharkhand. They severely condemned his being implicated falsely in the Bhima Koregaon case, being kept in judicial custody for no legal requirement, being denied proper medical attention and being denied bail despite his old age and health problems. He was put in custody in the name of being required for enquiry, but no questioning was done for 8 months that he spent before dying of cruel treatment at the hands of jail authorities and the plan by NIA to keep him under arrest under UAPA.
Speakers also reiterated their plans for protesting diesel, petrol and cooking gas prices ilon June 8, 2021 all over the country.
Dr. Ashish Mital, Chandra Prakash, Ratan Singh, Pratap Pradhan, Kishan Nambardar, Rajnet Yadav and others spoke at the meeting.
The gathering was also addressed by 110 year old Gandarbh Singh Yadav from Etawah, born 1911.
