PartiQ Singh Barnala, May 16th,2020
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Tej Partap Singh Phoolka has taken an initiative for 11 migrant labourers, who left Kotkapura (Faridkot) for Bihar on bicycles. Now these migrants will be able to reach Bihar by train instead of bicycles.
Mr. Phoolka received information from journalist Davinder Sharma Dev that 11 migrant labourers had left Kotkapura on bicycles for Bihar and were passing through Barnala. The Deputy Commissioner rushed to the spot and interacted with them. He informed ADC Roohe Dugg to make arrangements for them. The Deputy Commissioner said that the details of all these persons had been taken by the district administration and they would send these migrants by train. He said after liaising with the authorities concerned, the district administration would arrange a bus for them and send them to Ferozepur, from where they would be sent to Bihar via train. The migrant labourers thanked the Barnala DC.
