Recovery rate of COVID-19 patients reaches at 79.70%

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma today informed that under the “Mission Fateh” of the Punjab government, the number of COVID-19 patients getting cured in district Ludhiana is increasing with each passing day. He said that there are 12047 active patients in the district at present.
He said that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid-19. He said that a total of 1880 patients (1729 new patients from district Ludhiana and 151 from other states/districts) have tested positive in the last 24 hours. He said that now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana is 66995, while 9029 patients belong to other districts/states.
He said that unfortunately, 32 patients lost their lives today (22 from district Ludhiana, 2 from Mohali while one each from districts Fatehgarh Sahib, Sangrur, Moga, Bathinda, Ropar, UT Chandigarh, state Haryana and Delhi). Now, the total number of persons who lost their lives including 1550 people from Ludhiana and 786 from other districts.
he said that whenever the District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing. Similarly, 10063 samples of suspected patients were sent for testing today and their results are expected shortly.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma appealed to the residents to adhere all the safety protocols like wearing masks, maintaining social distance and washing hands frequently of the Punjab government to not only save themselves but keeping everyone around safe.
