Vans to facilitate easy vaccination availability to people not able to visit vaccination centres: Cabinet minister Singla

Punjab School Education and PWD Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, on Friday, said that with an objective to facilitate the vaccination even at the remote areas, mobile vaccination vans have been introduced in Sangrur. He added that the mobile vaccination vans were initiated as a part of Zimmewaar Sangrur campaign and it would facilitate a mobile inoculation drive at the village areas and especially remote regions.
“The vaccination vans have been initiated to facilitate easy vaccination availability to every household and especially for the ones where people are not able to visit the hospitals or the vaccination centres”, said Punjab Education minister Vijay Inder Singla.
Mr. Singla said that the mobile vaccination would cater door-to-door, specifically to the people who are not able to visit the healthcare centres and special focus will be given to cover aged and differently abled people. He said that these two vans would cover the 22 village areas in Sangrur subdivision as well as 24 villages in Bhawanigarh block, simultaneously. He added that the medical staff would be present inside the vaccination vans and the process of registration and administrating the vaccination doses would be followed as being carried at the vaccination camps.
The minister also stressed on the need to get vaccinated and avoid the misinformation regarding the vaccination.
Zimmewaar Sangrur campaign was launched by Vijay InderSingla for holistic assistance to the people as the people grapple with the pandemic. The vaccination vans add to the assistance already being provided through helpline number, supply of oxygen concentrators, availability of oxygen beds and medicines during the COVID-19. The Vijay Inder Singla helpline, 88981-00004, has been crucial in dealing with the COVID related requirements and assisting people in the best possible manner.
