To facilitate the patients who have been isolated in the homes of the covid-19 pandemic,
The District Administration and We Do Not Accept Money or Things have made a website www.ekzaria.com. It was jointly launched by Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Agrawal. Additional Deputy Commissioner Jagraon-cum-Nodal Officer Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta, Joint Commissioner Mr J. Ilanchezian and the head of the organization, Anmol Kawatra, were also present.
Disclosing this here today the Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration in association with We Do Not Accept Money and Things has launched the website www.ekzaria.com for the convenience of the COVID positive patients who are isolated in their homes. “Our patients feel suffocated due to being alone, they will also be given psychological counselling at home,” he said.
He said that a medical kit has been prepared with the advice of doctors for the patients who have been isolated, which will consist of 18 types of items such as thermometers, oximeters, essential vitamin tablets and steamers etc. He said that this medical kit is available at a very low cost. He said that the patients can also contact the mobile number 78147-18704 and 62845-31852 of Ek Zaria Sanstha to avail these facilities in their own homes. In particular, he said that as per the instructions issued by the state government, the isolated patients could not even go out at home so this facility would be useful.
Commissioner of Police Rakesh Agrawal said that unfortunately anyone who tested positive, who did not have any symptoms, need not panic at all. They should first keep themselves and their essentials in a separate room from their family so that the rest of the household is not infected. He said that 90 to 95 per cent of the people do not have symptoms of the disease but their corona test is positive which makes it very important for the person to be alone for at least 15 days to avoid spreading the disease at home.
Mr Agrawal said that people who have a persistent fever or lack of oxygen need to go to the hospital. The medical kit was prepared with the advice of the expert doctors of the hospital which proved to be very useful. Praising Ek Zariya Sanstha, he also appealed to other organizations to come forward and cooperate with the district administration in this difficult hour.
Mr Anmol Kawatra, Head, Ek Zariya Sanstha said that these medical kits would be provided free of cost to the needy patients who have been isolated in their homes with the help of the district administration. If anyone wants to pay the price, it will be taken only from him. He said that the lists of home isolated patients have been obtained from the district administration and the needy patients can also contact him on his mobile number 78891-68849 to get these medical kits. He said that so far his organization has helped about 10,000 patients in the last 4 years.
Specialist doctors and volunteers from ‘We Do Not Accept Money or Things’ were also present on the occasion.
