TWO TREATED POSITIVE PATIENTS DONATE PLASMA FOR TREATMENT OF COVID PATIENTS

Two former covid patients have emerged as the corona warriors by donating their plasma for the noble cause of treating corona positive patients. Villagers Kuldeep Singh and Beant Singh from village Kotdunne have donated their blood plasma after registering their victory over the infection.
Appreciating their efforts, the Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr Tej Pratap Singh Phoolka said that other corona positive patients should emulate this example. Civil Surgeon Dr Gurinderbir Singh stated that Kuldeep and Beant have returned from pilgrimage and were tested to be covid positive on returning back to Barnala. With their strong will power and guidance from the health department, Kuldeep and Beant overcame the infection and were cured. Now they have donated their plasma, which will be used for treating other covid patients. They donated plasma at the civil hospital Barnala and were honoured by the health department.
District Mass Media Officer Pawan Kumar and deputy mass media officer Kuldeep Singh visited the donors’ village Kotdunne and met both of them. Kuldeep and Beant that Medical Officer Dr Manpreet Singh Sidhu posted at the civil hospital Barnala had motivated them to donate plasma for noble cause. They added that after donating plasma they are not facing any health issues and are carrying out with their daily agriculture work normally. They appealed to other covid cured patients too to reach out and donate their plasma to save as many lives as they can.
Civil Surgeon Barnala Dr Gurinderbir Singh appealed to the people of the district to abide by government rules and follow the health department in donating plasma. He added that any further information regarding plasma donation can be taken from civil hospital Barnala.
