Says district status for Malerkotla is a dream come true

Cabinet Minister Ms Razia Sultana today led the residents of Malerkotla for profusely thanking the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for giving a wonderful gift to residents of the town by declaring it as 23rd district of the state.
The Minister along with residents big Malerkotla said that it was a historic occasion for all of them as the Chief Minister bas accepted a long pending demand of residents. Mrs Sultana said that it has been a dream come true for her as she had been making strenuous efforts for making Malerkotla a district. She said that this decision would give a major fillip to overall development of Malerkotla.
The Minister said that all the residents of Malerkotla in general and the Muslim brethren in particular would ever remain indebted to the Chief Minister for this marvellous gift to the community on auspicious occasion of Eid. She said that this was the biggest gift which any government in the state could have given to the residents of the town. Ms Sultana also said that this was red letter day for all of them and would be ever remembered by all.
The Minister also thanked the Chief Minister for announcing a Medical College, Degree College for Girls, Women Police station, Smart School and Rs 6 crore for urban development. She said that this would emerge Malerkotla as hub of education on roadmap of country besides giving further impetus to its all round development. Mrs Sultana, while reiterating firm commitment of state government to develop Malerkotla, said that no stone would be left unturned for the noble cause.
On this occasion, DC Sangrur Ramvir, SSP Vivek Sheel Soni, former DGP Mohd Mustafa, Mufti Punjab Irtika Ul Hasan, SDM Simarpreet Kaur, PCS Latif Ahmed, SP Amandeep Brar among several others were also present.
