Ensure proper care of positive patients in Covid Care Centres and hospitals: Vivek Partap Singh

Secretary Personnel Mr. Vivek Partap Singh, who has been appointed incharge of Sangrur district, held a meeting with district officials on Saturday to review the arrangements done by district administration to deal with Covid-19 pandemic. During the meeting, Mr. Vivek Partap Singh directed the district officials to ensure proper care of positive patients in Covid Care Centres and hospitals of district. He said that fool-proof arrangements should be ensured in these centres and cleanliness of the wards should also be done on regular intervals. He added that besides other arrangements, special focus should be put upon testing and district health staff should achieve the testing targets daily.
Mr. Vivek Partap Singh also directed the officials to curb the rumors by making the people aware of the deadly virus and asked them to launch an intensive awareness campaign with the help of Panchayats, NGOs and people from various walks of life. He added that the people should made aware the easy contraction of Covid-19 virus and should be encouraged for routine testing to avoid its spread to others. He added that safety of frontline workers should also be ensured and guidelines regarding Covid-19 should be followed precisely. He said that the administrative officials should stay in touch with positive patients and allow home isolation for asymptomatic patients.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Mr. Ramvir told that the situation of Covid-19 is under control in district and testing samples are being achieved by the testing teams daily. He added that he and all the SDMs daily had conversations with positive patients to boost their morale during isolation.
On this occasion, ADC g Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, ADC d Rajinder Singh Batra, all SDMs, SMOs and nodal officers of the district were present.
