Handiaya sewage system to get major face-lift, Meet Hayer
Work begins on 3800 m sewage system and 3100 m rising main

Led by Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is working towards improving urban infrastructure in various cities and towns.
Minister Mr. Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said while laying foundation stone of Rs 4.2 cr sewage and rising main pipeline project. He said that this would improve the sewage system of Handiaya to a larger extent where 3100 m long rising main pipeline is also being laid.
Besides this, around 750 households have been given sewage connections. He added that with around 3800 m long sewage pipeline, areas in Gurudwara Pakka Gurusar, tempo stand road, Khuddi road, Salani Patti, Ludhar Patti etc will be benefitted.
On the occasion, Chairman Planning board Gurdeep Singh Batth, Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mrs. Punamdeep Kaur , Xen sewage board Sabjeet Singh, SDO sewage board Rajinder Garg and other were present
