Punjab School Education and Public Works Minister and MLA from Sangrur constituency Mr. Vijay Inder Singla today distributed ownership certificates of Lands to about 50 residents of slum areas of the city under the Slum Development Program ‘Basera’ launched by Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh.  Simultaneously during a separate program, the Cabinet Minister also distributed sanction certificates of financial assistance of Rs. 1.5 lakh each to as many as 165 beneficiaries under Punjab Urban Housing Scheme for construction of permanent houses.
Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that Sangrur constituency is like his own family and he would not allow any eligible beneficiary living in the constituency to be deprived of the benefits of welfare schemes of the government.  He said that for this purpose, he has also deployed his team under the leadership of local leaders who have been visiting the houses of the people and make them aware about the welfare schemes and their benefits.
